The entire process, from the brief to completion and certification, was very enjoyable: Otto kept all the stress away from us, he sailed around the obstacles of legislation, a real boscage full of paragraphs and mastered the bureaucratic apparatus to perfection. To work in architecture, you are so much involved with society, with politics, with bureaucrats. It's a very complicated process.
The clarity of thought, the easy structure, the spirit of the spaces and the light are the principal beauty of our new home. Good design is obvious, great design is transparent. If you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life.
